We also serve as a vital link to our clients' finance departments in terms of our expedited processing of banking documentation, including letters of credit.
In addition, we are on-line with all major ocean and air carriers, which allows us to provide, via the Internet, sophisticated shipment tracking systems, and we have the ability to summarize our clients' activity via a vast array of management reports tailored to the individual customer's needs.
We are fully trained in the proper handling and documentation of hazardous materials, and we operate our terminals in an atmosphere of Responsible Care.
Our entire organization is trained in HAZMAT awareness, and our cargo handling staff is fully trained to review shipments for conformance to applicable regulations.
We can provide on-site assistance in terms of occasional training and/or permanent placement at customer locations.
Third Party Logistics
We define the Third-Party Logistics provider as one who is responsible to "integrate, coordinate, and manage functions for the smooth handling of sourcing, output and production".

Warehousing & Distribution
Barthco offers a variety of warehousing and distribution solutions.
The application of these services varies. We perform controlled distribution of imported products, especially to customers for whom we perform customs brokerage services.
In addition, we are heavily involved in the process of managed inventory of goods post-production.
We provide pick-and-pack services, and participate in supply replenishment programs.
The common element that links most of these applications is our customer's need to position their goods to the point of consumption as soon as possible after the input of the purchase order.
The beneficial result of these applied services is two-fold.
Firstly, there is increased efficiency as a result of eliminated interim processes, such as delivery to (or) pick-up from a traditional distribution facility.
Secondly, and just as critical, is the removal of cost related to these processes; goods are moved in bulk rather than on a per-shipment basis, allowing for better planning and a more programmed pattern of disposition.
A seller's ability to deliver goods more quickly, for less cost, often results in a critical competitive advantage.
Project Services
Our project services team is trained to coordinate shipments that are, by their nature, complex. In this capacity, we facilitate projects whose production source can span hundreds of suppliers over dozens of locations around the world.
In a centralized fashion, we engage our network where and when necessary to ensure that the pattern of supply is on target with the need for such materials.
Such facilitation requires knowledge relative to cargo that could be classified as oversized, hazardous, or temperature-sensitive.
